Welcome, and thanks for checking out my blog. This is my first time ever having a serious blog, so you'll have to forgive me if I make a few rookie mistakes along the way. I'm excited about having this availible because I want to give people an opprotunity to see Ethiopia through my eyes.
The journey is going to be challenging, and certainly a drastic change from a life that never ventured far from Cary, NC. However, I have such a strong desire to get to Addis to get to know the wonderful people that live there. My experience with my friends from Ethiopia at Camp Sea Gull this summer revealed attitutes of humility and gratitude that truly mesmerized me. I'm not sure exactly where I'm going to be spending my time when I'm there, but I'm just going to give my all to whatever I'm assigned to and I trust that the Lord is going to work through that.
It's going to be an interesting, eye opening, and hopefully life changing couple of months. I'd love for you to come along for the journey.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
Isaiah 6:8
All the best,

Great start Adam! We love you and are praying for you.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you should be meeting some friends, people I've prayed for for years (but have not been great with contacts as I should havde been) Michael & Rachel Weller. Michael worked with Jody in Red Springs when our kids were babies! I like them very much and have enjoyed the times I've learned about them. Hope you get to know them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog, I will enjoy getting to know about you & Ethiopia from your sharing and reflections.
Sharon, Cary
I know you will grow a tremendous amount from this experience and it will be all you hope and more. Trust me, your eyes will be opened, wider than you ever imagined. I'll be praying for you buddy!
